An anonymous male celebrity says he is the victim of an extortion scheme and is suing a high-powered Texas attorney who is representing several people in civil lawsuits that accuse Sean “Diddy” Combs of sexual assault.
The unnamed plaintiff, described in the lawsuit as “a celebrity and public figure who resides in Los Angeles,” filed his complaint under a “John Doe” pseudonym this week in Los Angeles Superior Court. He has accused Houston-based attorney Tony Buzbee and his firm of “shamelessly attempting to extort exorbitant sums from him or else publicly file wildly false horrific allegations against him.”
A spokesperson for Quinn Emanuel, the law firm representing Doe, confirms that the complaint was filed on Monday.
Buzbee has said he is representing at least 120 alleged victims of Combs. Over the past month, he has filed more than a dozen civil lawsuits against Combs, in some cases accusing the producer of drugging and sexually assaulting plaintiffs, some of whom allege they were minors at the time.
Combs, who is in jail awaiting his criminal trial, has denied the allegations against him.
The lawsuit filed by the anonymous celebrity claims that Buzbee’s firm is trying to capitalize off the “explosive allegations against Sean Combs” by roping in public figures who have been acquainted with Combs.
Attorneys for Doe claim that Buzbee sent a demand letter earlier this month in which his firm “threatened to unleash entirely fabricated and salacious allegations of sexual assault” that include “multiple instances of rape of a minor, both male and female” if their client “refuses to comply with their demands.”
In the demand letter, attorneys for the male celebrity said that Buzbee characterized their famous client as “having been friends with Mr. Combs based on the fact that the two often attention similar events frequented by celebrities.”
“These baseless accusations are nothing more than a weapon in a calculated plot to destroy Plaintiff’s high-profile reputation for profit, despite the complete absence of any factual basis for such claims,” the lawsuit states.
Doe’s lawsuit states that he is filing anonymously to avoid “irreparable harm to reputation.”
Buzbee denied the extortion claims against him, in an Instagram post in which he wrote that his firm “won’t allow the powerful and their high-dollar lawyers to intimidate or silence sexual assault survivors,” and in a statement to CNN.
“If you are trying to hide your identity and you claim you did nothing wrong, doesn’t seem very smart to take this approach,” Buzbee told CNN in an email on Monday. “We will address it in due course.”
“I have confidence that with full public disclosure all of this will sort itself out,” Buzbee wrote.
The celebrity’s lawsuit applauds Combs’ accusers who have spoken out with their names attached to their lawsuits but cast doubt on some of the allegations filed anonymously as a “Jane Doe” or “John Doe,” stating that Buzbee’s firm has “managed to find some 120 plaintiffs” who “claim to have been sexually assaulted by Combs.”
The lawsuit accuses Buzbee of creating “a pocket industry that capitalizes on the bravery of those victims who came forward to shakedown innocent celebrities, politicians, and businesspeople with an army of masked accusers.”
Last month, a judge ruled that one of Buzbee’s civil suits against Combs could not proceed with the female accuser filing under a pseudonym, stating that Combs has the right to defend himself by investigating the plaintiff. Shortly after her “Jane Doe” status was denied, the accuser refiled her complaint under her real name.
In an interview with CNN last month, Buzbee explained that his firm initially files cases anonymously in an effort to protect the safety of his clients. But he said that each of his 120 clients are prepared to testify and publicly reveal their names.
“They think that (if) the person’s name is revealed that maybe they’ll go crawl back under a rock and we’ll never hear from them again,” Buzbee said. “I’ve told every client when we file your case, be prepared that your identity will be revealed.”
Buzbee has said that he does not believe Combs acted alone in his alleged misconduct. He said in a press conference last month that his clients have shared information pertaining to celebrities, entertainment executives, business entities and other high-profile individuals that were complicit or engaged in Combs’ alleged abuse.
In Doe’s lawsuit this week, his attorneys paint a different picture.
“It is a cynical extortion scheme that is dressed up in vindicating victims of actual sexual abuse,” the lawsuit states. “Defendants corrupting this righteous cause by trying to monetize the victimization of the women who suffered at the hands of this one guy.”

Sean “Diddy” Combs is facing dozens of new allegations of sexual assault in a series of civil lawsuits set to be filed.
At a press conference held on Tuesday, Texas-based attorney Tony Buzbee said he is representing 120 accusers with allegations against the entertainment mogul that occurred over 20 years.
“We will expose the enablers who enabled this conduct behind closed doors. We will pursue this matter no matter who the evidence implicates,” Buzbee said during the press conference.
“Many powerful people ... many dirty secrets,” the lawyer said of the allegations. He added that his team has “collected pictures, video, texts.”
Buzbee added that the allegations will include: “violent sexual assault or rape, facilitated sex with a controlled substance, dissemination of video recordings, sexual abuse of minors.”
“It’s a long list already, but because of the nature of this case, we are going to make sure damn sure we are right before we do that,” Buzbee continued. “These names will shock you.”
Buzbee said he’s had more than 3,000 individuals come forward to his office with accusations against Combs and that he plans to begin filing lawsuits in various states within the next 30 days. He added that they will name the other defendants at a later date.
Among this new group of accusers, Buzbee said, 62 % identify as African American, and that they hail from more than 25 states, with the majority from New York, California, Georgia and Florida.
Buzbee said that 25 of the accusers were minors at the time of the incidents occurring as early as 1991. Buzbee said that the events occurred at parties hosted by Combs, as well as auditions for people hoping to “break into the industry.”
NBC News has reached out Combs’ legal team for comment.
Combs is currently being detained at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, New York after prosecutors in the Southern District of New York charged Combs with sex trafficking, racketeering and transportation to engage in prostitution in an indictment unsealed last month.
Combs was denied bail twice, but on Monday his legal team, which now includes attorney Alexandra Shapiro alongside Teny Geragos and Marc Agnifilo, filed the first paperwork ahead of an appeal of the bail decision.
Buzbee has represented victims in several other high-profile lawsuits, including against BP in 2010 after the Deepwater Horizon oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico. He also represented individuals accusing NFL quarterback Deshaun Watson of sexual misconduct in 2021. That same year, he filed a 750-million dollar lawsuit against Travis Scott after a fatal crowd crush at the rapper’s Astroworld Festival.
Combs’ legal issues have been mounting since his ex-girlfriend, Cassandra “Cassie” Ventura, filed an explosive civil suit against him last year, accusing him of assault and sex trafficking over the course of their relationship. Combs, who has vehemently denied the accusations, settled with Ventura for an undisclosed amount. Several months later, surveillance video showing Combs brutally beating Ventura in the hallway of a Los Angeles hotel leaked, and the mogul apologized for his actions.
Since Ventura’s lawsuit, multiple other civil lawsuits have been filed against Combs — most recently one from Dawn Richard, a former member of the girl group Danity Kane who alleges Combs groped, assaulted, imprisoned and threatened her life. Combs has denied all claims against him, calling them “sickening allegations” from people looking for “a quick payday.”
Many of the lawsuits against Combs were filed in New York City, which has the Victims of Gender-Motivated Violence Protection Law allowing people to file lawsuits alleging sexual abuse even after the statute of limitations had passed.

Sean “Diddy” Combs is facing a wave of new sexual assault and rape accusations. NBC News has obtained five new civil lawsuits filed Sunday in the Southern District of New York by Texas-based attorney Tony Buzbee. The suits do not name any of the plaintiffs. The five suits include allegations Combs sexually assaulted or raped the plaintiffs in separate incidents from 2000 to 2022. Two of the plaintiffs are men and three are women, including a woman who alleged Combs raped her when she was 13 years old, according to the suits. Combs is also accused of drugging one of the men and the three women, according to the suits.

Keeping in mind this is the Daily Mail:
In bombshell allegations, an additional 120 victims have come forward to accuse rapper Sean 'Diddy' Combs of sex abuse, with several underage victims, including a 9-year-old, among them.
The claims where made by Texas lawyer Tony Buzbee who announced he's representing 120 victims who he believes have legitimate cases against the rapper turned media mogul.
Of the 120 new victims, 25 were underage when the alleged abuse happened, Buzbee revealed.
The youngest victims were 9, 14, 15, the high-profile lawyer announced at a press conference in Houston moments ago.
The victims came forward mostly after federal prosecutors announced federal indictment against Diddy and arrested him last week.
The alleged victims are scattered throughout the country, but many are in California, New York, Florida and Georgia.
Much of the alleged abuse happened at parties, such as Diddy's infamous white parties or 'puppy parties.'
However, they also happened at auditions where victims, including the 9-year-old boy, was abused by Combs and several other people who promised him a record deal, Buzbee said.
A hotline number for other potential victims in bold, red font was directly behind the attorney as he pleaded with others to come forward.
'If you're out there, and you have been victimized, you are not alone. There is a great strength in numbers,' Buzbee said, speaking to potential victims who have yet to come forward.

Lawsuit Alleges Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs Raped 10-Year-Old Boy.
A new lawsuit against Sean “Diddy” Combs accuses the music mogul of the rape of a 10-year-old boy at a Manhattan hotel in 2005. The plaintiff, represented by attorney Tony Buzbee, claims he was drugged and assaulted by Combs during a visit to New York intended to advance his budding music career.
Allegations detail a disturbing series of events, claiming Combs coerced the boy with promises of fame followed by a drug-laced drink. After the drink took effect, the lawsuit states that Combs sexually assaulted the boy and threatened him to remain silent.
The lawsuit is part of a slew of recent legal actions against Combs, including claims that he raped a 17-year-old in 2008. These cases add to the list of allegations against Combs, including previous accusations involving minors.
Combs, currently detained at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, faces charges including sex trafficking and racketeering. Combs was arrested on September 16 and denied pre-trial release twice, with bail set at $50 million. His upcoming criminal trial is scheduled for May 2025, where he could potentially face life imprisonment if convicted.
So far, well over 120 individuals have made accusations against Combs. A hotline set up for others to report their own accusations received over 15,000 calls.
Combs is also linked to the Democratic party through Ben Meiselas, co-founder of the far-left MeidasTouch Network. Celebrity attorney Kenny Meiselas, the father of Ben Meiselas, had been employed by Combs. He also helped his son get an internship at Combs’s record label, which led to work with Hillary Clinton.
The Biden-Harris White House has described the MeidasTouch Network as its “front lines” against President Donald J. Trump in the 2024 presidential campaign.

The Rise and Fall of Diddy: A Deep Dive into the Life of Sean Comb
Sean “Diddy” Combs was one of the most powerful men in music. He is a rapper, singer, actor, producer, and record executive, and one of the most influential figures in the American music and entertainment industry.
On September 16 (U.S. time), Diddy was arrested in New York on multiple charges: rape, sex trafficking, coercion, abuse, and using extortion and violence to control victims. Diddy is currently being held in a jail under strict surveillance to prevent any suicide attempt.
This incident has shocked not only the U.S. but the entire world, implicating numerous big Hollywood stars and other powerful figures. Many are now questioning just how wealthy and powerful Diddy must be to manipulate all of Hollywood.
As one of the most prominent and successful rappers, Diddy has been nominated for the Grammy Awards 14 times and won 3 times. He was honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 1995. In 1997, Guinness World Records awarded him the title of the most successful Rap Music Producer.
With his achievements in music, Diddy built a diverse business empire, spanning music, fashion, liquor, and media. His influence in the music industry extends beyond producing and performing; he is also known as a businessman who continuously expanded his ventures into multiple industries.
In 1993, Diddy founded his own record label, Bad Boy Records. Three decades later, he has expanded his influence in the music industry, amassing an enormous fortune, the largest in the hip-hop world, making him considered the richest rapper of all time. In 2022, according to Forbes, Diddy’s net worth hit $1 billion. While this figure has since decreased, it still remains above $600 million.
From the 2010s, Diddy ventured into acting. He starred in a comedy film that grossed $95.5 million at the box office. Besides that, Diddy has also appeared in several reality TV shows. In 2013, he launched Revolt TV, a cable television network focused on music and culture.
Diddy also has a collection of supercars from various brands and price ranges, including a Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder, Maybach 57, Rolls-Royce Phantom, Chevrolet Corvette, Ferrari, and more.
Given his immense wealth, it’s no surprise that Diddy leads an extremely lavish lifestyle, owning luxury mansions and real estate. He has two main residences in Los Angeles and Miami, as well as multiple other properties scattered across the U.S., each typically worth tens of millions of dollars.
Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs indictment explained: alleged ‘freak-offs,’ drugs and prostitution
Alleged drug-fueled orgies, force and coercion, prostitution and a cover-up are at the core of a searing three-count federal indictment against Combs.
Combs is depicted as the leader of an alleged criminal enterprise, subjecting women, men and even minors to a pattern of physical and sexual abuse, according to federal prosecutors.
Houston attorney Tony Buzbee said he expects lawsuits to be filed within the next month, with most expected to be filed in New York and Los Angeles. Buzbee described the victims as 60 males and 60 females, and that 25 were minors at the time of the alleged misconduct. One individual alleged he was 9 years old when he was abused, Buzbee said. The allegations cover a period from 1991 to this year.
Investigators allege that, over a span of years, Combs would ply victims with narcotics and even resort to violence and intimidation during days-long sex sessions.
Numerous social media videos describe Diddy’s alleged “freak off” parties as multi-day sex orgies involving heavy drug use, gallons of alcohol, and large quantities of baby oil and lubricants.
These events, according to reports, would start after his famous “white parties,” which attracted celebrities like Leonardo DiCaprio, Will Smith, Paris Hilton, Jennifer Lopez, Bruce Willis and Mariah Carey.
When the A-listers left, a more secretive, hedonistic party would begin in back rooms, featuring Diddy and a select group of friends.
Michael Kaplan of the New York Times explains how as the night wore on, only a few select guests would remain for the more debauched events.
Kaplan also recounts a drug dealer’s testimony from one of these parties, where he allegedly witnessed male-on-male sexual activity among rappers, which shocked him.
According to federal prosecutors, Combs did not act alone, although no one else has yet been charged in the case. Combs allegedly had assistants, managers and security staff who made sure that women and male prostitutes were present at these "freak off" events and that the hotel rooms where they were staged were stocked with supplies like baby oil and lubricant.
Some of the alleged conduct also took place at auditions where “many times, especially young people, people wanting to break into the industry were coerced into this type of conduct in the promise of being made a star,” Buzbee said.
Combs has been locked up at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn since pleading not guilty Sept. 17 to federal charges that he used his “power and prestige” to induce female victims into drugged-up, elaborately produced sexual performances with male sex workers in these “freak offs.”
Other alleged victims have already filed lawsuits against Combs that include allegations of sexual assault.
Combs has pleaded not guilty to racketeering conspiracy and sex trafficking. His attorney said he is innocent and will fight to clear his name.
